On January 31st, the Bay Area design community came out to celebrate the launch of the AAPI Design Alliance’s (AAPIDA’s) Northern California chapter, led by designers and executive chapter members Alicia Cheung, Kevin Pong and Noz Nozawa. The Asian American Pacific Islander Design Alliance (AAPIDA), is an organization that works to engage, promote and empower Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islanders working within the home and design industries. The monumental event was hosted at queer and woman-owned Hilda and Jesse restaurant located in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, where guests enjoyed their signature brunch staples, florals from Mister Lee Designs and interior design by AAPIDA member and event co-host—Noz Nozawa.
