Windsor Smith Unveils The New Homefront
Author:Abigail StoneSpace age technology and old world elegance merge to stunning effect at interior designer Windsor Smith’s The New Homefront, located in one of the most exclusive streets in Los Angeles’ toney Brentwood neighborhood.
Smith invited a wide array of guests, which included Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo, to tour the property which pushes the limits of move-in ready design. Presented in partnership with real estate agent Santiago Arana of The Agency, who is handling the $33 million dollar listing, the evening included a performance by water ballet troupe, The Aqualillies.
Smith’s first foray into the whole-house design concept of approachable luxury, The House of Windsor, was snatched up by Gwyneth Paltrow for $10 million in 2012. This new home, which took four years to build, amplifies those ideas and unifies them under Smith’s cohesive vision.
The 12,000 square foot estate, highlighted by its expansive kitchen, beautifully landscaped pool and stunning balcony and rooftop views, includes six bedroom main house and, separated by a pool, a separate guest house outfit with a screening room and a sauna.
Throughout, the interior designer’s attention to detail and design is integrated with unique and innovative products, systems and finishes, supporting the qualities of time and togetherness that, Smith believes, are the ultimate goal of a busy, modern family.
