Set Sail on Gray Malin x Scott Dunn’s Amalfi Coast Getaway

Many a vacation has had roots in literary inspiration (see: every Instagram post ever referencing Eat, Pray, Love). But only one vacation itinerary brings Gray Malin’s “La Dolce Vita” series to life and that’s the photographer’s collaboration with luxury travel planning company, Scott Dunn.

The Gray Malin x Scott Dunn Amalfi Coast Getaway takes guests on an eight-day journey through the Italian Riviera, hitting Praiano, Positano, Atrani, Nerano, Ravello, and Capri (Malin’s all-time favorite destination).

The trip kicks off with a stay at Casa Angelina in Praiano, capped off with dinner at Ristorante Max. Then, it’s time for a private guided trek through The Path of the Gods and the Amalfi Coast’s most stunning vistas. In Positano, guests are invited to eat dinner at Music on the Rocks overlooking scenery from some of Malin’s most famous photos, including the cover of Malin’s book, ITALY. Guests then stay the night at the renowned Il San Pietro Positano.

Once travelers reach Praiano, they take a private boat around the scenic coastline (taking in the view of the area’s colorful umbrellas and tiny beaches captured in Malin’s photographs). After strolling through Atrani and having a long lunch at Lo Scoglio in Nerano, guests set sail for Capri and settle in for two nights at Capri Tibiero Palace. Then there’s a trip to the gardens of Villa San Michele and a swim at Lido del Faro beach club before taking in views of the Faraglioni rocks. The afternoon is dedicated to soaking up the sun at Malin’s favorite beach club, La Fontelina.

On Day 6, guests get a private boat ride around Capri before checking in for two nights at Palazzo Avino in the hilltop town of Ravello. The dramatic views of the coast and the Bay of Salerno can be seen from the private balconies of the suites and dinner is served along with Hugo Cocktails at the Belmond Hotel Caruso next door. The trip closes with a day spent savoring Italian wines with a local sommelier and touring the grounds of 11th century Villa Cimbrone.
