LA Wine Pays Homage to Sonoma’s Glen Ellen Village

Last fall, David DeLuca brought his California-focused wine bar, LA WINE, to the area, and instantly added a touch of NorCal culture to City of Angels.
Drawing inspiration from his time working at vineyards in Northern California, DeLuca teamed up with designer Patrick Bernatz to style LA Wine as an homage to Sonoma’s Glen Ellen village. The space references wine country throughout with the incorporation of all-natural materials and preserved wood. The sleek bar features wood paneling characteristic of Glen Ellen’s redwood cabins, which is echoed on the walls and ceiling.
The back wall is painted a deep green to represent the color of the vines and redwood trees while the dark wood booth running the length of the space was carved from a single piece of wood. A final natural touch is the bar top made of terracotta brick tiles, tying in the color of the wood while serving as a durable surface.
In addition to the bar’s house label and craft beers, LA Wine features multiple vinos from California producers throughout the 400 miles from Santa Barbara to Mendocino.
