California Designers Make a Mark at the 2019 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach

Many products and treatments featured in the home were provided by the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach’s exclusive sponsors; Benjamin Moore Paints, Kohler Co. and The Shade Store, in addition to additional sponsors including; The Rug Company, Cambria, David Sutherland, Inc, Dacor; New York Design Center, Currey and Company and more. Open through February 20, 2019, proceeds from the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach will benefit Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. GUEST SUITE: Peter Dunham of Peter Dunham Design transformed the home’s first floor guest suite into a cool and comfortable lounge with multiple seating areas for socializing.
-Waterfall woven wood shades from The Shade Store.
-Wallcovering and draperfy fabric is Collage in indigo and grey by Peter Dunham Textiles.

DINING ROOM: New York-based David Scott of David Scott Interiors expresses his take on the Dining Room by having it play home to a mix of fine antiques, contemporary furnishings, ceramics by today’s great artisans, and eye catching art.
-A leather area rug by Doris Leslie Blau sits atop Carlisle Wide Plank Floors, which complements the lacquered raffia wallpaper by Phillip Jeffries.
-An iron and ceramic cabinet by Elizabeth Garouste from Bernd Goeckler Antiques sits behind “The Mother of Anoschkin” ceramic table scuplture by Jasmine Anoschkin, available at Hostler Burrows.
BREAKFAST ROOM: An ode to the modern woman, New York City-based Jessica Schuster of Jessica Schuster Design transformed the Breakfast Room into an ornate, luxe space where the lady of the house can escape to focus on herself and her ambitions.
-A black desk by MRB Furniture Design complements a plaster wall design by the designer.
–The Rasta mirror by Misha Kahn sits between two upholstered chairs from the Jessica Schuster Collection.
FAMILY ROOM– A comfortable, calm space to relax and enjoy time spent together was the inspiration behind Los Angeles-based David Phoenix of David Phoenix Interior Design’s family room.
-A swedish woven rug by Mansour Modern anchors the elegant family room that features work by Hickory Chair.
KITCHEN: Classic warmth and clean lines of both modern and traditional styles are captured in the kitchen from New-York based Vasi Ypsilantis of Vasi Ypsilantis Design Associates.
-Ypsilantis worked with Cambria to create an uber cool custom elements throughout the kitchen using a variety of their products including a baker’s rack that flank the all-black Dacor range.
THE STAIR HALL AND CORRIDOR: The stair hall and corridors are the core of the home, which is why Connecticut-based Billy Ceglia of Billy Ceglia Designs approached his design with family in mind.
-Ceglia covered an otherwise simple hallway in stunning drapes made of emerald green and white Kravet fabric.
UPSTAIRS LOUNGE: The signature transitional style of Nashville-based Jason Arnold of Jason Arnold Interiors informed the design of the “Upstairs Lounge” — an ideal retreat from a day spent in the Palm Beach sun.
-Arnold creatively installed tailored pleat draper in wool flannel espresso and wood blinds from The Shade Store to mask a TV in the lounge.
THE SUNSET TOWER SUITE: Designed by Atlanta-based Danielle Rollins of Danielle Rollins Interiors, the Sunset Tower Suite invokes the 1970s era of glamour in style and design with flattering tones of coral, pinks and apricots.
-Rollins shared notes of her own creativity in the suite with the debut of her new art collection in collaboration with Wendover, in addition to her exquisite fashion line hung in a beautiful closet customized by California Closets.
MASTER BATHROOM: Nicknamed “le bubble lounj,” the master bath features the work of Palm Beach Gardens-based Krista Watterworth Alterman of Krista + Home.
-The floor features a cool rug made of Artisitc Stone+Tile while the vanity is covered in Cambria. Kohler’s digital shower experience enhances the ease and sophistication present in the space.
OUTDOOR LOGGIA AND POOL DECK: Designed by Amy Meier of California-based Amy Meier Design the loggia and pool deck invites guests to lounge outside with highly stylized outdoor furniture, umbrellas and standout sculptural pieces by David DeSantis that replicate Palm Beach’s art nouveau period while also paying homage to the home’s Mediterranean architecture.
-Amy Meier brought the California flavor by installing a custom metal fireplace detail that looks over furniture from Sutherland.
