Spring Fling: 2018 Pasadena Showcase House Of Design
Author:Abigail Stone
While other places may mark spring by holidays or the calendar or the appearance of certain flowers, in Southern California it’s the annual Pasadena Showcase House of Design that celebrates the season’s start.
Open from now through May 20th, the fifty-fourth itineration, although set in a 1915 Mediterranean home designed by architect Reginald Davis Johnson, exudes a cool, contemporary vibe. In the hands of the twenty-three interior and landscape designers that participated in this year’s event the house, affectionately known as “The Overlook”, blends traditional elements with modern amenities.
Extend your visit by dining at The Overlook Restaurant or relaxing with handcrafted drinks at The Citrus Grove, and visiting The Shops at Showcase.
Tickets, which run from $35 to $45, Ticket sales benefit the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts (PSHA), an all-volunteer non-profit that funds and produces music programs that enrich the lives of countless young people and has brought a lasting legacy to the community.
